The Woodvale Tavern
Oh wow when my meal was brought out to me I was blown away by it's presentation. The Camembert cheese was so tasty and and drizzled in honey. The focaccia was so crunchy. I enjoyed the meal so much. The Tavern wasn't noisy and we could talk without shouting. My friend had Chicken parmigiana and she really enjoyed her meal. The atmosphere was wonderful.

A nice restaurant and atmosphere. Loved looking at what they had on display. Meal was really delicious. They also gave the children colouring in yo do so that was nice. Great service and nice clean environment.

Perfect place for good British Roast. Great price three courses for $34 each. Soup, roast and dessert. My birthday table had balloons. Packed with families and good atmosphere. Good helpings and carvery to help yourselves. Staff helpful. One suggestion, maybe they could have a section for smaller children and families to be able to walk and run around either inside or outside.

Have been here in the past and great experience at first but food quality started to turn downhill so we stopped going. However, on our recent visit on a Tuesday night, we really enjoyed our meal and service. Ribs were cooked to perfection, so soft that it just falls off the bone. Chicken wing comes with 2 choices, smokey BBQ or hot buffalo sauce. If you don’t like the spicy & sour flavours, go for the BBQ. Friendly staff who came to check at the table if everything was going well. The only downside for the night was staff at the ordering/paying counter, some glitches there which after a while of back and forth, she eventually checked with her colleague and said I was correct. Instead of trying to argue with me in front of other queueing customers, she could have just checked with her colleagues first.

Amazing roast dinner! Tastes just like home, a good British roast.$34 for a 3 course meal - leek and potato soup, carvery roast and then a choice of 2 deserts (chocolate Nutella cake or apple crumble and custard).A good atmosphere. The steak was also good on the menu, good portions.Very happy with the food.

We came here for the Sunday roast after our local pub had sold out and oh my was it the best thing that happened to us! The service for John on the Calvary station was amazing such a happy bright soul and funny too! 10/10 would recommend food, service and wine was incredible <3 thanks team!

My local and an absolute gem. It's been through a few owners over the years but the current crew have turned it around. Fantastic pub food, a great selection of beers and wines and friendly staff. What is not to love!Sports events are covered off well, so if you support Australia or England and you want to take in the game (Football, Rugby Union or Rugby League) in a lively atmosphere I can recommend you head down here to soak it all up.

Went for the first time today. We really enjoyed the food. I had roast dinner and the turkey and veggies were gorgeous. My husband had pork belly and he said it was fab and my son had the pasta. Good value for money and big servings. Everyone member of staff we spoke to were very helpful, friendly and even on the way out staff made a point of saying goodbye. It was busy but well organised. Would certainly go back and recommend. No negative comments at all.

Food was rather tasty and the wait time wasn’t long considering it was a very busy Friday night.The pricing for drinks may be good however I believe the food is on the higher side.The Tavern is always busy and seems very popular.Only down side would be it is very noisy inside.It’s hard to hear people across the table from you, especially if you are at dinner with elderly, they will find it very hard to hear.But over all, lovely staff, tasty food and nice layout and atmosphere.
